            "<div id=\"summary\">\n<div>PURPOSE : to adapt the provisions relating to committees which\nassist the Commission in the exercise of its implementing powers\nlaid down in Council instruments adopted in accordance with the\nconsultation procedure (unanimity).<br/>\nCONTENT : Decision 1999/468/EC laying down the procedures for the\nexercise of implementing powers conferred on the Commission\nrepealed Decision 87/373/EEC. The provisions relating to the\ncommittees which assist the Commission need to be adapted in order\nto bring them into line with the provisions of Articles 3, 4 and 5\nof Decision 1999/468/EC:<br/>\n- the provisions of the instruments providing for recourse to the\ntype I committee procedure are replaced by provisions referring to\nthe advisory procedure.<br/>\n- the provisions of the instruments providing for recourse to type\nIIa and IIb committee procedures are replace by provisions\nreferring to the management procedure.<br/>\n- the provisions of the instruments providing for recourse to type\nIIIa and IIIb committee procedures are replaced by provisions\nreferring to the regulatory procedure.</div>\n</div>\n"
